I’m 18 and my mom told me I should see a gynecologist soon. So I made an appointment for a couple weeks. What should I expect? My friend went and she said they did something that was kind of painful so I am little nervous.

Like when a young teenage girl goes to a gynecologist do they keep it between the teenager and Doctor or do they tell the parent that the teen has had sex? Do they keep it private?
Does anyone know a good Gynecologist in the Chicago Area?
